Dirty Symbiot
Its the dark corners you have to worry about. Behind every wardrobe.
Underneath every fridge. Inside every child who refuses to bathe.
Inside every passed-its-used-by-date carton of milk. It lurks. It
watches. It waits. The dirty little partnership of organisms. It was
two separate entities, now through a process, so demented it is illegal
to even spell out into words, it has become one. The Dirty Symbiot is
the audio expression of this very existence. Our aim is to capture the
sounds of the shadows. The antithesis of conventional expression. The
sounds of darkness, of the most simple single celled organism, the song
constructed with only their fundamental frequency requirements at
heart. Formed in Dec of 05, Russ and Jake have been cranking out the
beats on and off for some time, and are hoping to be getting a release
under their collective belts soon. Stay Tuned.
Dirty Symbiot is Jake Steele (Yarhkob) and Russ Milne (Harvey
Fresh). In tandem, beats are created, located, borrowed, sampled and
restructured in the place known only as the Bomb Shelter. Drum
machines, analog samplers, synths, guitars, drums and the occasional
harmonica are each recorded and then woven into the tapestry of sampled
instruments, dialogue and digital static.
